Caring for a loved one with dementia is an exhausting task.

Dementia is defined as  “A progressive loss of intellectual functioning caused by brain damage.”

People with impaired cognitive ability require very specialized care. As the care giver, your goal is to keep your loved one in the home as long as possible knowing that it will be a job 24 hours a day/7 days per week. Hopefully, you have a strong family, social, spiritual, legal, and professional support system as part of your team.

Dementia is a devastating disease, as the care giver you must have support in order to obtain your goal otherwise, you may not be around long enough to find out.

Your Dementia Coach is a specialist at providing education, training, counseling, and knowledge about your community support systems. Our coaches have extensive training and education in Gerontology (the study of aging), Marriage & Family Systems, Mental Health, Nursing and Community Support Services, including; important links to medical, legal professionals and long term care facilitates.
