Services for Professional Care Givers

“Qualified Dementia Care Provider” (QDCP) – Become the master of your trade! This training series will take you far above the competition as a care giver. Upon successful completion of this series developed by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, you will become certified as a QDCP and have fun doing it.

“Boundaries” – A training series from Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend.

“Basic Counseling Skills”- A training series for both the family and professional care givers.

“Communications with the elderly”- Designed for people who want to reach out to our most respected generation of people. This will provide you with the tools needed!

“Behavioral changes associated with Dementia”- You will learn the basics of the disease and the behavioral changes associated with it. This is a fresh new way to look at what are normally thought of as “problem behaviors”.

“Facing the Giant”- This is designed to be an interactive lively discussion about Dementia. You will learn about the most prevalent forms of Dementia including the following: What steps can I take now to prevent it? What does the person with Dementia feel like? Etiology and Pathogenesis of the disease, what are the four A’s that I need to know in order to care for someone with Dementia? What are the early warning signs? What is “Age Associated Memory Loss”? Etc.

“Seeking the Lost”- A training specifically designed for Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement teams.

“Excellence in Care”- Reed is certified as an “Excellence in Care” specialist by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. If you are an administrator or owner of a long term care facility and you wish to be recognized as the best in the business, this distinction is for you!
